The REAL Problem

When Odor got elected, I mused I was glad it happened even though I really wasn’t anywhere near Glad Town. I was (and still am) glad and here’s why: the voters who brought this monstrosity of a President into office deserve the President they got. Heck, we all deserve this President and we deserve everything he said he’d do.

The man is carrying out his plan. He said he’d do it and he’s doing it. That the American voter didn’t realize this before casting their ballot for this undemocratic lout serves them right. Obama is a fascist who ardently believes in a totalitarian state, “caring” for the right kind of citizen from cradle to grave. He told you he was going to do this and hasn’t wavered not once, public opinion be damned. That’s what a fascist, all-knowing, all-benevolent dictator does!

And now, there’s widespread outrage, but like the inestimable Thomas Sowell says:

True, President Obama's approval numbers in the polls have fallen below 50 percent, and that of Congress is down around 10 percent. But nobody votes for Congress as a whole, and the President will not be on the ballot until 2012.
They say that, in politics, overnight is a lifetime. Just last month, it was said that the election of Scott Brown to the Senate from Massachusetts doomed the health care bill. Now some of the same people are saying that passing the health care bill will doom the administration and the Democrats' control of Congress. As an old song said, “It ain't necessarily so.”
The voters will have had no experience with the actual, concrete effect of the government takeover of medical care at the time of either the 2010 Congressional elections or the 2012 Presidential elections. All they will have will be conflicting rhetoric-- and you can depend on the mainstream media to go along with the rhetoric of those who passed this medical care bill.

And that’s the REAL problem: the American voter. Speaking as a “foreigner” (in that I wasn’t born here), I can tell you quite squarely that to be an American citizen requires more brainwork, more hard work than anywhere else. Most Americans are incapable of the that kind of work. In fact, I daresay we’ve been incapable of that kind of work since after World War II.

What’s more, every facet of American life contributes nothing towards helping its citizens stop the slide towards Gomorrah. Most teachers are the most blatantly liberal socialist/collectivist/Marxist assholes in history, too busy stuffing their ideology down the baby bird throats of the impressionable—thus forever imperiled—youth to actually teach their damned subject matter.

Even Math teachers share their “life lessons” freely with the astounding result that most students “graduating” High School can neither read or write with any real skill, and most certainly not process information critically.

For example, the diction of the average American college student is babyish with lilting, sing-song affectations. How can such a person be trusted to think critically? With such voters, it is guaranteed we continue to get Presidents like Obama who promise—and deliver—nanny-bosom safety nets. “No honey, don’t think. That’s too hard. Let nana do that for you.”

Unfortunately, I deem us cooked. If this vile bill doesn’t cause the Democrats any employment problems in November, it will be because we have finally whimpered into the Age of Grand Mental Indolence and that star-spangled banner will not be waving over the land of the free or brave. No one will remember.
