Rostropovich, RIP

Damn! I can't remember the composer or the piece of music Mstislav Rostropovich played that held me spellbound. I believe it was a Tchaikovsky Cello Concerto ... I will have to find it and listen again.*

Rostropovich died today in a Moscow cancer hospital. He was 80-years-old. Rest in peace.

* Found it on Amazon: Dvorak Cello Concerto and Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme for Cello and Orchestra. The Tchaikovsky is transcendent!
