Poverty

Mrs. du Toit thoughtfully clarifies the meaning of poverty in the Third World and how it differs immeasurably from what we think it is.

I'm used to poverty, real poverty.  I've seen and lived in some of the conditions she details.  For reasons not too clear, I got used to those conditions, proving if nothing else, the coping capacity of human beings.
