So, Election Day arrives!
In about 2 hours, I will be casting my vote for a history-making pair (John McCain and Sarah Palin, of course). Whatever happens, this election will be historical: either we will have a female Vice President for the first time or a half-white, half-black President—the man's not black, by the way. Just an FYI.
Obama's considerable inexperience is galling and what's more, frightening. Such a “kumbaya” approach to politics is the principal symptom of a peculier mental illness that strikes at age 19 (hence the broad base of support amongst those young adult ‘intellectuals’) and doesn't let up until 30 or so when the hard knocks of life conspire to disabuse the patient of naivete. Only, Obama and his ilk haven't been cured and there's no hope in sight.
Obama is a socialist with strong Marxist tendencies with benign elitism—which is at the core of Marxism, Communism, and Socialism, let's be honest; he hates America as it is (him and his butt ugly wife, specifically) and wishes to rip its heart out. He's no center/center-leftist as my pal Jeremy thinks. The man is dangerous, ironically not because he's ill-intentioned, but because, as I've learned in working at IT for the past few years, the most dangerous being is the ignorant or worse, the well-intentioned man.
Go back to Illinois, first-term senator, get some executive experience and then run for the highest office in the land. Perhaps then.
Perhaps never. And take your unpatriotic wife with you.
Post Script: You want irony? I'll give you irony: I despise McCain. ;-)
