Not laughing on this one, this brings to mind a certain anus called Imus, that's what got him fired; you don't pick on harmless kids trying to get an education and make something of themselves.

It's not tasteless, it's satire. No one's "picking" on harmless children. The reason it hits a nerve is because the situation depicted is entirely feasible. It's also funny.
